Int Maintenance of Traffic/Temporary Traffic Control-Refresher [In-Person]

This Public Works Academy (PWA) provides FDOT Maintenance of Traffic/Temporary Traffic Control – Refresher training in an in-person format.

The Public Works Academy (PWA) provides Maintenance of Traffic/Temporary Traffic Control courses in an in-person format.

The Public Works Academy is a provider authorized by the Florida Department of Transportation to be a provider of the Basic, Intermediate, Advanced Maintenance of Traffic courses and their refreshers.

Prerequisites

This is a Refresher Class. Therefore you will be required to submit your current MOT Certificate, to Ray Gorman at gormanra@pcsb.org, beforem the start of class. You may print out the Certificate at http://www.motadmin.com.

A Driver’s License and email address is required to attend the class and to take the test. Please have your driver’s license with you at all time.

Certificates and Wallet Cards

Certificates and Wallet Cards are valid for four (4) years from the ending date of the class session.  No certificates or wallet cards will be available at the class session. A certificate and wallet card will be sent to the participants who have paid their course fee and have successfully passed the exam.  Any participant who does not achieve a passing score of 70% or higher will receive a letter indicating such.  We ask you to allow up to two (2) weeks for your results to arrive at the email address you provided at the time of registration.  To verify a certificate, click here.

Description

The Public Works Academy is an approved provider for the Florida Department of Transportation Intermediate Maintenance of Traffic course.

Target Audience

This is a refresher course so the Target Audience includes those who are in their last year before the certificate’s expiration date.

This course is required for all persons with duties that include any of the following activities:

Direct responsibility for placement of work zone traffic control devices; Direct responsibility for field maintenance of work zone traffic control devices; Inspection of the placement or operational function of work zone traffic control devices and/or Drafting or electronic generation of work zone traffic control plans.
